Mike Allen, President - Owner

Mike founded Allen’s Air Care, Inc. in 1992. It had been a dream of his since graduating from Smyrna High School in 1983. While at SHS, Mike trained for two years under Mr. Earl Clark who provided vocational instruction in heating and air conditioning repair. With a love for all things mechanical and a great teacher like Mr. Clark, Mike had found his calling. Mike worked for nine years with several of Middle Tennessee’s largest and most established HVAC employers. He soon discovered that both his talents and integrity were superior to many in the industry. With the love and support of his family, Mike launched Allen’s Air Care out of his home. He started the company with a few tools, a pick-up truck and faith that God would provide for his family. Today, Allen’s Air Care has over 3,500 active customers, a staff of 15, runs multiple service and installation crews and generates revenue from both residential and light commercial jobs.

Allen’s Air Care is seen as a leader in the local HVAC market. Mike has received countless awards and recognition for the performance of AAC in the industry. In 2002 the Town of Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department named Allen’s Air Care as their Small Business Volunteer of the Year. Mike holds the following certifications: NATE, Manual-J, EPA, State Mechanical and Electrical License. Mike is also a leader in his community. He is actively involved with Smyrna Youth Football League, where he has been a board member, coach and officer for several years. Mike offers property management services to Special Kids, a not-for-profit daycare for special needs children. He is a Board Member and teacher at First Baptist Church in Smyrna. Mike and his wife, Rhonda, are natives of Rutherford County. They have been married since 1986 and have two amazing sons, Alex and Layne. When he’s not working or on the football field, Mike enjoys fishing with his boys.

Rhonda Allen – Director of Operations

Rhonda joined Allen's Air Care in 2008 as the Director of Operations. Prior to joining AAC in this position, she worked in corporate healthcare for 18 years in a variety of roles – sales, marketing, consulting, product development and operations. She gained tremendous experience working for companies such as NHC, HCA, Cigna, and Theraphysics. As the result of corporate down-sizing, Rhonda was faced with the option of starting over at a new healthcare company or exploring a career change. In an effort to spend more time with their children, Rhonda joined Prudential Rowland Real Estate as a Realtor in 2003. Rhonda still works as a Realtor since she deals primarily with referrals from friends, family members and past customers.

Rhonda’s responsibilities for AAC include oversight and direction of sales and marketing, office staff and day-to-day operations of the company. She has been an officer of the company and served as an informal advisor since the inception of AAC. She became more involved in 2008 as the author of the company’s website. Due to the growth that AAC is experiencing, it was obvious to both Mike and Rhonda that the company would benefit from her continued involvement and business acumen.

Rhonda is very community-minded and enjoys serving as a Commissioner on the Rutherford County Regional Planning Commission. Previous community work includes: Citizen Advisor to the Town of Smyrna for their 20-year Comprehensive Plan 2006; Thurman Francis Arts Academy PTO President and Board Member from 2006-2009; Leadership Rutherford Class of 1993 and Board Member 1994-96; Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce Tourism Council 1996. When she is not at work or volunteering, Rhonda enjoys watching her boys participate in sports or spending time with her large extended family.

Mark Hardy, Installation Manager

Mark joined Allen’s Air Care in 1995 as an installer. He applied his previous professional experience and excelled in this role. Seeking a greater challenge, Mark moved into the service department where he thrived. In an effort to expand his knowledge and skill set, Mark left AAC for about 4 years and worked for one of Middle Tennessee’s largest HVAC contractors. In 2006, Mark rejoined the AAC Team as our Installation Manager. His belief that quality workmanship and doing a job correctly the first time, make him an excellent leader and mentor for the installation crews. Mark holds the following certifications: NATE, EPA, Honeywell Zone-controls. Mark and his wife Brenda attend Rutherford County Baptist Church in Smyrna. They enjoy camping and playing with their grandchildren.
